"How long does it take for the AccuMAP-5 kit to arrive?"
The kit will be shipped to you directly from ZRT labs in Oregon. It will take less than 1 week to reach you and likely sooner.
"How long will it take to get my results back from ZRT labs?"
Completion of the tests typically takes about 3-5 days from the date ZRT receives your sample. When ZRT completes all the tests, they will send an email to you the next business day with a link to download your report as a PDF. In addition, they will send a hard copy to you by mail.
"Do I have to pay for shipping when I send my AccuMAP-5 kit to the lab?
No. You do not have to pay shipping when sending your AccuMAP-5 sample back to the lab. You will be provided with a pre-paid UPS return label on the kit’s return envelope. You will only need to drop it off at a UPS collection box/center.
"Why is saliva better than blood testing?"
Steroids in the bloodstream are 95-99% bound to carrier proteins, and in this form are unavailable to target tissues. Saliva testing measures the amounts available to target tissues – the bioavailable amount. For this reason, saliva testing better relates to specific symptoms of excess or deficiency and is a good option for monitoring therapy.
In addition to that, we also know that if you use a TOPICAL treatment of supplementation (which is now known to be the best form of supplementation - bypassing the liver), blood will not adequately measure the levels!
It has taken many years to figure out why saliva is more accurate than blood and it has been confusing doctors, even Anti-Aging doctors, for many years. "What time of my cycle should I test?"
Timing is everything — especially when it comes to a woman’s menstrual cycle. The average cycle is around 28 days long, but in general, anything between 21 days and 35 days is considered normal.
Your cycle begins on the first day of your period and goes until the first day of your next period. If you are still cycling, you want to test your hormones on days 19, 20 or 21.
If you no longer cycle, you can collect any day.
If you have irregular or unpredictable cycles, you can collect any day you are not bleeding.
"Can I test even if I already take products?"
Yes, absolutely! Your kit carefully defines exactly when to use your last dose of bioidenticals before testing. In most cases, you test 12 to 24 hours after your last dose taken. This is all easily defined in your kit!
"Should I test if I have had a hysterectomy?"
Yes! Absolutely. If you still have your ovaries, you will still want to know how your ovaries are doing in their production. You won’t have any other way of knowing without testing since you will no longer be having a period.
If you had your ovaries removed as well, then you fall into the postmenopause category and will definitely want to test to optimize your levels!
"Can I test if I use pellet therapy?"
Absolutely! The timing of your test will be defined well in the kit. Generally speaking, testing when you have pellets should occur between the second half of your pellet “life expectancy” through the end of your pellet’s expected length of effectiveness.
"Should I test even if I don't want to use bioidenticals?"
