Where to Start? Finding Your Hormone Balance.
Hormone Balance can seem daunting if you haven't had some guidance to help you understand how the pieces all work together.
For Midlife Women - the best place to start to balance hormones is to restore Sex Hormones to Youthful levels first and foremost. It's the easiest thing a woman can do.
You can test your hormones in the privacy of your home at a very reasonable cost.
Plus it gets easier. With my line of Professional grade Organically derived, Bioidentical Hormones YOUNG HORMONES - available over the counter at the very same prescribed doses for most women in and around menopause, You now has the ability to even BALANCE her own Sex Hormones!
Once that is accomplished, often half or more of your frustrating symptoms are resolved quickly. If more changes are needed at that point, it will be obvious.
If you have suffered with Hormone Imbalance for a long time, you may have an Adrenal Axis dysfunction that can now be more easily fixed. This is usually the second Hormone Axis to tackle.
After that, (Or often at the same time) it's time to look at your GUT. If you have a poor diet, been subjected to multiple courses of antibiotics, drink and eat irritating foods such as alcohol and coffee, OR suffer from any bowel dysfunction, like bloating, constipation, diarrhea, foul smelling stools, You likely have a GUT hormone imbalance.
And finally, and only after the Sex Hormones, Adrenal Axis and Bowel has been cared for... a low thyroid function may need to be considered.
If you have a family history of low thyroid, have a very low fat or carbohydrate diet, have poor absorption of nutrients, don't use a nutrient supplement at all, (like a good multivitamin, mineral and Omega 3 Fatty Acid) you're at higher risk of a thyroid dysfunction.
You are also more likely to have a thyroid dysfunction if you are sensitive to gluten, have undergone extensive stress in your life, have poor sleep habits or fight with getting a good nights sleep, again... you may be suffering from a thyroid dysfunction as part of a WHOLE Multi-Hormone-System Imbalance.
In many cases we see thyroid dysfunctions completely resolved once the Sex, Stress, and GUT health are restored.
